A flurry of poured molten silver encrusted with crushed semi-precious stones garnish this striking ring. Cast in solid silver the piece has a darkened oxidised finish to show off the unusual textures and colours of the metal and stones.

This striking cast ring exploits how fluid silver flows to form droplets, ripples and ribbons and the crystalline textures of crushed stones. On an intimate scale, it is part of a collection inspired by the larger experiments of American land-artist Robert Smithson. In the 1970s he poured asphalt, glue, rubble and other materials upon quarries, buildings and hillsides as comments on natural chaos, decay and geological forms.
