David Mola’s inspiration comes from natural imagery, sometimes from very delicate magnified images, sometimes from abstractions of nature. His work is heavily influenced by the colours, shapes and pictorial style of medieval stained glass, but realised in a contemporary vein.

David found himself drawn to the botanical studies and landscape paintings of Mackintosh and took these as the starting point for his own reflections on Mackintosh’s legacy.

These botanical dishes are individually made and handpainted. There will be variation between pieces but you can choose the flower you would like the work to focus on and the colour palette will be consistent with the palette in those depicted here. You will own a true and irreplaceable original.
