Designed by Kelly Stewart for the Isobel Wylie Hutchison Collection, Carlowrie Castle

In ‘The Scribbler’ magazine that Isobel and her siblings made as children, Isobel wrote a poem about the flora and landscape that surrounded her at Carlowrie.

This series of hand drawn pen and ink sketches of lilies, honeysuckle, roses and the castle are drawn from these descriptions.

Using a nib and ink the illustrator, Kelly Stewart, rewrote snippets of text and poetry which were overlaid onto book cloth and incorporated with the drawings via the screen-printing process.

Materials: Hand silk-screen printed on Somerset 300gsm paper
