Ingrid Phillips

Glass Designer

After completing a Masters degree from Edinburgh College of Art, and working in many different workshops in Europe, the workshop, iGlass was established in Edinburgh, focussing on batch production, lighting and specialised commissioned work.

iGlass also runs specialised workshops for small groups, teaching hot glass making skills.

Most work is hand blown, sometimes using moulds. Some ranges include time consuming cutting and polishing techniques. Scandinavian influences are easily seen in simplicity of form and use of colour. Science and nature, light and dark are also influences within the work.

The images presented on Craft Design House are intended to be representative of the kind of work that iGlass produces, as most pieces are commission based and made to order.

As iGlass create beautiful pieces by commission or on a made-to-order basis, the development and production times that these processes involve must be taken into account when ordering and anticipating shipment.
