SaV Ceramics

Ceramic Designers and Makers

A product & ceramic designer + a chef & product developer knock into shape SaV Ceramics by combining their skills.

Sabrina grew up in Buenos Aires where she studied Product Design and a bit of Fine Arts. After graduating from University of Buenos Aires worked in the design field for 5 years in brand agencies, design companies and as a freelancer. From the age of 8 Sabrina was hooked on ceramics, attending weekly lessons, seminars, official courses but always as a hobby until she decided to open her ceramic studio. Two years later the idea of improving her skills brought her to the pottery town, where she is currently doing masters in Ceramic Design at Staffordshire University.

Nahuel grew up in Rio Negro - Patagonia, Argentina - and moved to Buenos Aires to study Industrial Design at La Plata University. After working for a few years in different design companies, he decided to return to studies but this time to enhance his passion for food by enrolling in a cheffing course. He also opened a studio offering product development services. Together Sabrina and Nahuel embarked on the adventure of moving to Stoke, which has since transformed into a design project.

Beyond functionality, SaV Ceramics enjoys playing with shapes. SaV Ceramics are a Design Studio that creates, develops and produces lifestyle products from tableware to lighting pieces, exploring different materials and combining traditional craft techniques with new technologies.

SaV Ceramics is based in Stoke on Trent, surrounded by the ceramic heritage and people’s knowledge. The studio consists of two product designers with a strong backgrounds in ceramics and 3D software, having a contemporary approach to daily objects with a sharp eye for aesthetics, details and high quality.

Their inspiration come from observing, doing, and analysing, mixed with architecture, nature, fashion, geometry, biographies. This eclecticism is reflected in their works, perhaps as a consequence of their blended Argentinian-Italian-Spanish heritage, as well as several years living and studying in Stoke on Trent.
